GIM Interview Transcript Done with my GIM interview, Applied only for PGDM core My profile- GEM, (CS), Fresher, 9/8/8, CAT- 94.87   There were two Male Panelists, P1- in his 50s,   P2- in his 40s Interview went on for about 15 mins They asked me questions together so will not differentiate between them in the transcript P- So how are you Me- I’m good sir, how are you, P- good, quickly tell me about yourself, Me- told my TMAY, mentioned internship in a sustainable vegan leather production startup. P- how long was this internship, and was this from your college. Me- 3 months from feb to may- , no sir, it was an off campus internship that I took due to my interest in marketing. P- do you have anything to back it up, Me- Yes sir, an internship certificate and an LOR. P- why was it sustainable, how is this leather different from animal leather, Me- told about UN sdg and about vegan leather. P- what did you do there Me- Told about my work which included marketing and all and supply chain management. P- why mba after computer science engineering. Why don’t you go for a startup Me- told my prepped answer and mentioned starting a startup in the long term. Explained how before startup , I would like to have some experience. P- this venture that you wanna start, do you have any idea for this. Me- I am not sure about a particular idea, but yes I am interested in starting an event management organization along with a café , which will cater to pop culture and fitness enthusiasts, that GENZ are inclined to. P- so you did CS engineering, then you will do an MBA, and then open a CAFÉ. (We all laughed and I told him that no , this is an idea, a long term vision, I might do something entirely different but this is what I have in mind right now, I will learn from my experience in MBA and in job.) P- where do you see yourself in 3 years, Me- I see myself working in an FMCG, working as a marketing or brand manager due to my interest in marketing. And develop networks and grow as a leader. P- if you work in FMCG, you will have to do sales, can an engineer do sales? (again we laughed) Me- Yes sir, I agree that engineers are seen as quite people, but I want to switch field for this specific reason, I don’t see myself working on a desk and coding all day, I want to be in a people oriented environment. I explained further on what I have done to support my statement. P- okay, do you have any other calls, Me- GLIM, IMT, IIM JAMMU AND BODHGAYA ,(Did not tell them about MDI and NMIMS) P- What is your preference Me- GIM sir, as Goa is a unique state and will provide me with exposure that no other college can, and then went onto talk about how GIM is the best. P- Any questions for us? Me- sir , is there any dance club or committee, as I am passionate about dance. P- which type of dance you do Me- b boying, popping locking, hip hop, He laughed and said there is a cultural committee, and then they wished me all the best for future. Logged off.   Pretty chill interview and no acads or current affairs, Loved the vibe.
